Morning :hello: Oh god, is Xmas REALLY so close? I've hardly bought any presents, have nothing to wear for my Xmas party, and last night I drank wine instead of doing my wrapping. I'm 'busy' tonight, working tomorrow, so I'll have to panic-shop on Sunday which will be a nightmare.
Need to make a list.
But first I need to shave my legs..
ps (((hugs))) Sally xxx

Morning everyone
After the manic-ness of yesterday's examiner's meeting I'm looking forward to being able to chill out a bit at work today - still got loads to do and my brain feels a bit like swiss cheese (the one with all the holes) or wooly - I can't quite decide what it feels like but it's definitely not a day for thinking or manipulating spreadsheets!
Mum phoned last night and wants me to visit my aunt on Sunday with a winter wreath which means I get to do the whole yule thing (minus the alcoholic wassailing) but it feels right this year to do it. (We used to start with Yule, do Christmas, then New Year, then 6th January - epiphany and spanish relatives, then dad's birthday in mid-jan, Burns night and finish up with Candlemas in February so we'd end up doing something almost every week for seven weeks! No wonder I enjoyed winter almost more than summer)
Cally - hope you get your wage sorted.
snaggles - good luck with the panic shopping on Sunday
Sally & BB good luck with the hair - I 'm having mine 'done' on Christmas Eve and I've no idea what I'll be having done to it apart from I fancy going really SHORT this time!!!
Luc - enjoy pottering, I had to unpick the knitting I'd done because I dropped FOUR stitches and I've never yet worked out how to pick them up so it was easier to unpick and I'll start again at the weekend.

Morning all :hello:
Last day at work here, and am choked up with the cold ready for the holiday! Luckily I have pretty much finished Christmas shopping, but I still have to do a bit of running around to pay some bills (payday today) and have to sort out enough clothes for 10 days away and pack them! And I need a haircut tooDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -

Don't talk about lunch, I haven't eaten since Wednesday night!!!!!
And, to make things worse, hubby was wanting to watch Nigella's Christmas last night.
Half way through I said to him "If this was a cartoon you'd be a ham right now!"
My hospital test is at 2.15 this afternoon so i can drink water until 2 hours before.....lucky me eh?

OMG (sorry Cally - I'm not being insensitive when your wage is less than expected but I've got to share this). I've just got my wage slip and they've paid me my wage, plus my overtime and my special payment on top! it works out to be twice my normal wage so I can pay off the last of Wayne's debt and put some money aside to cover the cost of all the building work needed for Evie's bedroom (skirting board, move and replace the radiator as well as put something towards the carpet and furniture)! Of course the tax man is really happy because he got a very nice slice of this pie as well.
I had only half expected it to be in this month's wage but I'm so amazed that it's really there.
