Glad you are back Bunny:D
I am hitting the red vino when OH goes off out at 7.30pm:beer:
We have started the ball rolling with MIL, lots of tests and then a referral to the memory clinic. So much to think about though, we have also asked for a visit from the district nurse to assess her immediate needs.
She has lots of medication to take too so we need to find a way to help her remember when to take it, she looked in horror at the pill box thing I bought with the days of the week on and different times of day as she must have been missing certain medication as it is just lasting too long.
*sigh* this is starting to get to me already. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Awww Louise that sounds tough hun.
Do you have home carers going in who could supervise the meds?
Maybe have a home care assessment carried out if you havent already?

Its been our first point of contact today with anyone Beanie. We started with the Doctor, we honestly havent got a clue where to start. No carers, no care assessment, nothing:o it is so daunting. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Is there a local support group Lou? I know there are a few Alzehiemers (spe) groups up here - I'm not implying that's what she's got but I think places like that can help with memory techniques. a couple of friends have gone through it with their parents and got varying degrees of help.
Sorry about your hair Sally.

Sorry about your hair Sally.
We will have to check all of these things out:o First steps are to have a load of blood tests done, a chest Xray and an ECG before the memory clinic will give her an appointment.
Anyway, I am going to try and forget about that for now (no pun intended) and enjoy my relaxing Friday night on the pi$$:DBut these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

Phew, I got paid today after 6 weeks of working! Totally skint!

Now I can save! Went for 2 interviews and didn't get the job, couldn't they have told me that after the first interview?!?!
At least I know to save for when I am unemployed in 4 months time. I keep getting interviews but being second best to the person that actually gets the job. So much for qualifications and experience, it never seems to be enough!
