Which Creditcard is Best for me?

Hi,

First post here, hopefully first of many.

Anyways I have a question. I was wondering what the best creditcard for me to get would be (which I'd be accepted for!).

I'm a 1st year law student (18 y.o), currently living in halls. I make money on the side on the internet - something called affiliate marketing. Spending money to make money is involved. I'm gonna be doing this fulltime, but because I'm currently paying on debit, I can't scale any of my profitable ventures, thus leading me to the conclusion that I need a credit card.

A £10,000 credit limit would be ideal, however I know this isn't going to happen. I don't know much about credit cards so I was hoping some of you guys can help. I've never had a creditcard before. I also have a student account @ Halifax. Just gonna throw that in incase it has any relevance.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I know nothing of affiliate marketing but if you are making a steady profit then i would suggest you continue as you are and build up slowly

    however otherwise
try you own bank, halifax ... they usually give students a CC with a limit of 250-500.

    Thanks for the reply, Clapton.

I'm making a nice amount of profit, however I can easily expand if I had the funds. Like practically make what I make in a week, I can make overnight.

I don't think £500 would be suited to me to be honest. But I'll go in and have a chat - see what they can do for me!

I would recommend a card run by MBNA (including the Virgin range, Alliance and Leicester, Sony and MBNA itself).

They are known to give Credit Limits which are on the high side.

    Good Luck.
