Anglian windows withdrawing money from my account after I have paid

Would appreciate any help with this.
Basically, I have had some windows fitted by Anglian. Can't complain at all about the job. Love the windows and was all done quickly and professionally.
However, I signed the form to pay them the £9900, and they withdrew this money from my bank account on Wednesday. But then, today they've withdrawn another £965. I have no idea why, and hopefully a phone call to them tomorrow will clear things up, but is it legal for them to just take this money without my permission, or without me signing anything? Would like to be clear on where I stand legally, before I make any threats if worst comes to worst.
Thanks for any advice.

£9900 for windows...Good grief!! I hope its a very large house.
I guess this is a direct debit so if you get no satisfaction from Anglian get on to your bank and ask for a refund under the Direct Debit guarantee"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

Yeah, and you should've heard the price they'd originally quoted me
Was paid with my debit card. Would I get the same protection as with the direct debit? Bit clueless about this here because we've just moved to the UK!0 -
You can report it to your bank as an unauthorised transaction but I fear they will tell you to sort it with Anglian windows in the first instance."The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

I think when you authorise a payment from your debit card, they can take what they like in essence, there is nothing the bank can do so unfortunately you will have to speak to Anglian, its their error. I know this because I gave a card authorisation for something a while ago, changed my mind and rang the bank to try to prevent it but they said there was nothing they could doAug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00
