Wireless mouse and keyboard

Hello,

I want to get a wireless keyboard and mouse so that my kids don't sit right up close to the monitor when using the computer. Does anyone have any suggestions please, based on a good enough make at a nice price?

Thanks in advance.

Duncan

You can get interference though with these. I was using my mobile on loudspeaker (it was near my keyboard) and I couldn't type!
My suggestion and/or advice is my own and it is up to you if you follow it, please check the advice given before acting on it.

Yeah, I wouldn't use wireless myself.

Really, is it that bad? I thought loads of people had wireless going on these days? I thought I was backward in that respect. Don't want to get it if it isn't going to work!

Cheers for the heads up, I'll look into it, and I do like the price of the one that your friend has.

You just have to make sure you have nothing close by that might interfere.

I do use wireless, as I said, but when I was talking to someone on loudspeaker and typing at the same time, the phone was literally 2 inches from the keyboard and interfered. As BexTech said, you just need to be careful. When I have the phone about 8 inches away from the keyboard, there is no interference.

I never had any problems with the Apple bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

    They're a bit pricey though.

OP i bought this set from morrisons for under a tenner, it was priced at £10 but as the cut in vat was announced a few days before the set was reduced to £9.79 so check your morrisons, just noticed the same keyboard has been suggested, and i just put the batteries into the mouse and keyboard and plugged the receiver into a usb slot and it worked out of the box, no cd required to install the drivers,
