dfs sofa larger than stated

Options
i am really annoyed i had my 3 piece suite delivered today from dfs and the sofa its bigger than the one i measured in the shop. therefore it wont fit in the gap i measured in my living room i am sooo annoyed. phoned the shop and they checked the brochure and said oh it should be 202 cm, i told them i have measured the sofa and it is 219cm. they said they will send someone out but not until tuesday. so until then i am stuck with a sofa over christmas that juds out and takes up loads of room in my living room and the kids hardly have any room to play now. im hoping they will get me another one soon, has anyone else had this happen to them. i just hope they dont say oh well you just have to keep it or something like that.

Did they sound concerned when you explained that your kids were missimg out on 17cm of play space?

And how did you get 17cm? Oh let me see you took 202 from 219 leaving you 17. How clever, I hope you get a gold star for that tomorrow at school. Whilst at school can you get one of your class mates to read the rest of the original post to you, of particular interest is the part about "it wont fit in the gap", now the OP did manage to post this twice, yet you could not even be botherd to read it once!!

So you see it is far more then 17cm, it is the whole sofa, so your smart alec comment just makes you look even more juvenile then you already do (which I had thought was going to be difficult to do, but it seems your skills in this area are finely honed).

    How ironic is this!

DFS have just been bollocked by the ASA for making the sofas in their TV adverts look a lot larger than they actually were!

Maybe they sent you a fake one off the telly....:D

That people use to gain advice, not to get silly, pathetic, juvenile replies from the same set of posters time and time again.

The likes of yourself and d.edna (making a rather large assumption that you are not actually one in the same) are killing this forum stone dead.

its actually more than 17cm they are missing out on ,you obviously don't have kids, most probably cant find anyone to fulfill the deed. kids do need room to play, and with a sofa stuck half way in the living room this has made it rather difficult for them. but thanks for your sarcastic reply obviously you have got nothing else to do apart from reply to threads with idiotic replies. hope Santa puts you on his naughty list baa humbug to you

I understand your frustration OP. I spent many hours trying to find sofas that were JUST the right size. If they'd been wrong on delivery I'd have been livid.
