IMO Ulster Bank is the quickest one to go for.

There have been reports of heavy delays with both ICICI and Abbey Zero.
  • Ulster Bank Card - you got to be on £20K+ and have a good credit history. Credit limit starts in the range of £3000-£3600. So the more you are earning the bigger the credit limit.

Abbey are not as restrictive hense the high no of applicants...the Abbey Zero has been withdrawn online - only available in branches or telebanking for limited time may be.

    Don't know about ICICI though.

    Thanks guys very useful.

    Applied on Friday 19th.
Dissapointed with the credit limit of £3K as my salary is more than double the £20K mentioned, but never mind it's enough for my purposes.
Got a letter from them yesterday (22nd) so they seem to be moving quite quickly.
  • lisyloo,

I've sent a saving statement of £3.5K to Ulster Bank Cards and they've increase my limit to only £3,600 (requested £5K).

They were not clear as to how much proof they actually need to get a higher limit but I can live with it. I am planning to pay off the whole balance transfer over the next few months anyway.

    Good luck!

    I actually got £3600.
Not sure if I misread it.

It's low compared to other cards I have, but it'll do for what I want (new motorbike).
    They were very quick.
Applied 19th and money was tranferred 29th December which is pretty good considering bank hols.
