Which is the fastest card to apply for to get a no fee balance transfer

Abbey Zero, Icici or Ulster bank

    IMO Ulster Bank is the quickest one to go for.

    There have been reports of heavy delays with both ICICI and Abbey Zero.
  • Ulster Bank Card - you got to be on £20K+ and have a good credit history. Credit limit starts in the range of £3000-£3600. So the more you are earning the bigger the credit limit.

    Abbey are not as restrictive hense the high no of applicants...the Abbey Zero has been withdrawn online - only available in branches or telebanking for limited time may be.

    Don't know about ICICI though.

    Applied on Friday 19th.
    Dissapointed with the credit limit of £3K as my salary is more than double the £20K mentioned, but never mind it's enough for my purposes.
    Got a letter from them yesterday (22nd) so they seem to be moving quite quickly.

    I've sent a saving statement of £3.5K to Ulster Bank Cards and they've increase my limit to only £3,600 (requested £5K).

    They were not clear as to how much proof they actually need to get a higher limit but I can live with it. I am planning to pay off the whole balance transfer over the next few months anyway.

    I actually got £3600.
    Not sure if I misread it.

    It's low compared to other cards I have, but it'll do for what I want (new motorbike).
    They were very quick.
    Applied 19th and money was tranferred 29th December which is pretty good considering bank hols.
