I bought a pair of shorts for my boyfriend to wear on holiday from JJB sports. They were supposed to be a size 28-30 waist but when he put them on on holiday they were huge.
When we got home we measured them to be a 34 waist so I took them back to the store but couldn't find the receipt. I was told that I could only have a refund or exchange without the receipt but as the holiday was over the shorts weren't needed anymore so I took them back home to look for the receipt.
I found the receipt and went back to the shop and this time I was told that I was 2 days outside the 28 day exchange and refund period so I could only have a voucher! The boy behind the till measured them and confirmed they were mislabelled but the manager would not let him give a refund. I got the manager down to see me and he would not even speak. He just turned the receipt over and pointed at the policy on the back.
I was sooo mad. I tried to explain the consumer goods act to him and that the shorts were faulty but I just got 'it's store policy, nothing I can do'.
I accepted the voucher and emailed customer services, no reply as yet 2 weeks later :mad:

I would post them a copy of the email by recorded delivery and tell them that you've had no response to your email.
Someone should be made aware of how rude the manager was to you as it doesn't sound like you were being unreasonable0 -
I agree with snoony2 but must say when I read your thoughts on a 34" waist being huge I nearly choked on my pie!0
