Have you stayed before? I found it to be too crowed, over priced and a dump. Room was dirty and staff rude. Better hotels a short taxi ride away that wont cost an arm and a leg.
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel

I was gonna say so you HAVE to stay at the Hilton? There's a holiday Inn I think just round the corner!

  • I wanted this hotel so I could do the Virgin twilight checkin the night before, without messing about with the car, you can just walk through the terminal - what a cost to be lazy!!
Usually stay at the Gatwick Copthorne but they have started charging for transfers now, and it is a bit tired. I had heard that the Hilton has had a refurb and is getting better reviews ???

All I can tell you is that the worst beds I have ever slept in are at the Hilton Gatwick. The hotel is lovely but the beds were as hard as rock. We always stay at the Travel Inn now which is just across the road from the airport. It is £60 per night for a family room and they also do a deal for about £110 which includes 2 weeks parking.

Have to say I was disappointed with the Hilton Gatwick, it was just ordinary? However I never heard any noise from aircraft and it was clean and warm, no real charm but I guess it just an expensive bed for the night for people passing through.
It is convenient for its only a short walk to the (south) terminal or rail station there and you dont get wet.
Agree with the hard beds tho.
The newer parts have better bedrooms and the pictures on the TV were poor.
Breakfast nice but again expensive, free paper however.

used it peak Summer 2004 , via FHR , offsite parking was miles away , a pain especially on return

All the food outlets were full, so ended up eating at the pub inside the airport

that said I paid £125 for a sleep 3 room inc 15 days parking

yep the off-site parking is miles away - expect it to take about an hr for the round trip

i find it much easier to stay at the Premier Lodge (about 8mins drive away) and then use a meet and greet service at the airport. much quicker, and usually alot cheaper than staying at the Hilton, also alot less faffing around
