Yes-without a doubt-defrost and cook it-you have 2 fridges so you will be fine.Another job out of the way. I cook mine one day before-you will just be cooking yours a little bit earlier-relax! Tell everyone you are well organised and did it on purpose(no I know you cant as you have begged freezer space)but thats the attitude. Our turkey is 4kg and it said on the packaging to allow 18 hours per kilo for defrosting in the fridge and 12 hours for a cool room. We gave a large second fridge so I've put it in there. Given that yours is much bigger, you should be absolutely fine.

Good question. I would like to know this as well as I intend to cook my turkey on Christmas eve to avoid the rush on Christmas morning. I'm not a very good cook (tend to panic!) so I thought roasting on Christmas Eve would be the way to go. I could do with tips for re-heating though. I always cook mine on Christmas eve and on Christmas morning I slice what we will need and lay in a roasting tin with the turkey jelly and a little water. I cover the tin with foil and heat in the oven for about half an hour on gas mark 5, making sure it is thoroughly heated through before serving. I then use the jelly as the base of my gravy0
