Speak to your gas supplier, they normally contract the work out either to Transco or someone like Fulcrum.
EDIT: Expect to pay for this work by the way0 -
Thanks -I get my gas from southern Electric so I shall contact them .
Do you know roughly how much it could be ?0 -
yes, transco and there agents are the only people who are allowed to move meters, install new ones ect, you may have other companies doing this type of work but basically they all sub-contract from transco who call the shots and sets the prices...

Transco has recently been sold to a financial holding company. In my area this is Northern Gas Networks. Beware the subcontracters, the emergency engineers often follow them around to disconect substandard work... my hubby is an emergency engineer... if you think at any time that you smell gas phone the emergency number, that at least is still free.0

Transco are now (for the last few years) not the only company that owns the pipework or install / replace meters. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0
