Help message says windows is a fake

Thats just the problem, I cannot find the number it asks for.... a 6 figure number I have no idea where to find it, all I have is the product code which is on the back of the computer......where do I find the 6 figure number it is asking for.....4.20 yesterd did not solve the problem!!! I am ready to chuck the damn thin in the bin.

OK, I am officially a numpty, I did not realise it meant the numbers on the screen, have done that and it appears to have gone through ok, time will tell if I get the same message when I re-boot the computer.

I knw, I know, women should stick to cooking cleaning and looking after the chidlren!!!!!!!!!!

One other thing if you are familiar with computers and software. If there is an I386 folder visible on your hard drive(s) you can make an installation disk. All you need extra are a few files which you can literally create yourself and then edit the SETUPP.INI file to make it into an upgrade version. You also need to know the 25 digit key!!!

It's there on the screen in front of you of you're running through the activation wizard and selected the "Activate by telephone" option. It will be called "Windows Installation ID and is several sets of 6 digit numbers seperated by a "-".

I thought it was pretty idiot proof, personally...
