DOWNSIDE to comping

I too have a separate email account..The ones I hate are from vistaprint, they nearly always say Congratulations! so you open it to find you can have some business cards or a calender :rolleyes:

i had one company that i entered their comp and every single department in their branch sent me emails i kept waking up to about 40 just from them. and one dating site kept emailing me so i clicked un the link to unsubscribe and blow me if the next day i didnt have another email from them but from another email addy(all womens names) i had about 30 diff ones before i managed to stop them all. never had a mail with winner or congrats or anything tho

Oh I get about 300 daily & delete without even looking UNLESS it has congrats in the title It's a small price to pay for all of my wins

I thought about this too.... but a lot of comps are for 'newsletter sign ups' so if you unsubscribe surely you could be withdrawing your entry to the draw?

I get 400+ a day, i have mail washer so i know its all ok, also thunderbird only lets u see basic details and i decide from that, i do have a quick whizz up and down the list as some wems can be hidden with decieving titles, i sign up to everything!
because im from the school of thought some comps will only let people on their mailing list win, not all do that but some do and a bit of mail doesnt bother me.
I use thunderbird to collect from 3 emails accts and it gets mailwashed on its way before it hits my inbox on laptop.
I consider the dealing of 100's of emails a small price to pay for the amazing things u could win! xx

I get 100s a day, I use Gmail and just do searches for key words like congratulations and winner, and then take it from there...

I have many web based emails, like gmail and hotmail, thunderbird picks it all up and plops it on my puter, i use it instead of outlook itms.Saves me checking loads of diff email accts.
