That's a crap rate. Current interbank rate is €1 = 97.7p.
If its a small shop it will probably only get about 94p-95p when lodging in bank.
Also there will be a charge for handling foreign currency.
Most of Euro cash can't be given out again by the bank so it will have to be transported down to the Central Bank in Dublin, an expensive way of doing business0
