Car Insurance saving via manufacturer

After going through the whole palavar of getting insurance for my new car, I decided to contact the manufacturers Insurance department to get a quote.

10 minutes later and surprise surprise, they are £200 cheaper than any other insurer I could find, gave me £65 of Virgin Wine vouchers.

Plus the policy is a lot more generous than I could get elsewhere.

They were also prepapred to give me a 10% discount if there was another car by the same maker at the house (that's 10 % each).

My main point is that the manufacturers insurance is usually only available via the phone, so the Internet Insurance supermarket companies are unable to get quotes from them.

In this case it is irrelevant whether it is Ford, Vauxhall, Nissan, Honda or Bentley.
My suggestion is that if a manufactuer offers the service then don't immediately dismiss it as a costly "option", instead give them a (usually freephone) call about it.
