  • Back when I was bailiffing I got sent into the HQ of a large superstore chain who'd neglected to pay a bill to a hospital. Won't say who, but they're not too popular around these forums.

The superstore's accounts payable department were so arrogant when I turned up, tried to tell me I had to make an appointment and come back at their convenience, if and when they could be bothered to see me.

They changed their minds fairly quickly when I started seizing goods. Funny that. Always good to give the big boys something back isn't it?
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything
  • Isn't it strange though, that if Capital One had sent in the bailiffs to a non paying customer then there would be lots of posters berating Capital One and siding with that non paying customer? How dare they etc.!
Just an observation and not in support of Capital One who quite rightly received a visit in this instance.
  • I saw this Scot on the box this morning, seem to recall she did not get awarded everything she was trying to claim. But good for her, when she did get a result.
I think this is as much the problem as the money involved:

The superstore's accounts payable department were so arrogant when I turned up, tried to tell me I had to make an appointment and come back at their convenience, if and when they could be bothered to see me.

I find a lot of large organisations tend to look inwards like this - it is just a power game really.
