Hi,
I have an electric meter in a small cupboard just outisde of my front door. The door has a triangular lock on it.
Does anyone know where I can get hold of one of these triangular keys, please?
Many thanks.

Any hardware shop will stock them. Or the big sheds, like B&Q etc.
The gas meter ones look like the yellow plastic one at the bottom of this link. they are triangular, so I'm guessing this is what you want. Is the box a purpose made plastic meter box?
Or see if you can find one like this which is metal & has 4 different shapes.
Until then you can always use a pair of pliers.0 -
or just phone your supplier & tell them you can't give a reading as you can't open the meter box.
Scottish Power sent out 2 keys straightaway.0 -
Thank you for the responses. I will ring British Gas and ask them to send me a key out so that I can read the meter.
The meter reading that they have down for me seems wildly wrong compared to what we were given as our initial reading when we moved into the property, so I just want to see for myself!!
