Radio Reception

Options
Hi all.

I have a fairly standard sony stereo system. Nothing special, though not bad either.

Anyway, the ariel that is coming out of it is a thin piece of wire, coated in a white plastic. I get reasonably poor reception out of it. Anybody have any ideas how to improve this?

Thanks
Stevey

I've connected my hi-fi to the TV ariel. I live in a poor reception area so it first it goes through a signal booster. Reception is excellent.

My television aerial has a seperate FM aerial which I have connected my stereo to for the radio. It isn't connected to the TV aerial, it's a different connection and wire.

The reception is much better though than the flimsy aerial provided with stereos.

Alternatively, should that not be possible, your other option is to get a better aerial which has a stand, and also has a long lead - put it up high in the room and your signal should improve a little. :)
