Help PC keeps crashing..

Hi guys

My PC keeps crashing... dont know what the cause is which is why im hoping someone can help!

I left it turned off all last night & this morning it stayed on for an hour then crashed/froze & had to turn off again.. the tower is only 1 year old but bought from a computer shop nearby rather than PC World etc so thought id ask here first!

It seems to give me more time on it if its been turned off for a number of hours

Thanks in advance :)

could be a sick of ram failing , or just overheating , check the ram is plugged in properly by removing and reseating

if you have 2 lots of ram it may be worth removing one and running the PC to see if it crashes , then swap to the other and do the same

open up the side of the PC with the power off and blow all the dust out particularly the processor fan

if need be use a fine paint brush to remove it

It could be an overheating problem - if the pc is only a year old the supplier has obligations under the sale of goods act and it may be best if you ask supplier for a good-will repair , I'm thinking to reseat/clean cpu cooler-this doesn't cost much to do so I guess it would be ok'd.

also remove the small screws holding in any PCI cards

    and unjack and reseat those

does it give a "blue screen" and an error message , if so make a note and post that here
