Safari is also good, Chrome is based on the same engine, but I just cant say no to Apple's quality design on Safari

Are you joking? Unless it's changed a lot recently Safari was horrible on Windows. It did nothing better than Firefox or IE and looked awful. It has been a while since I tried it though.

My favoured browsers are Firefox, Opera and IE in that order. I tried Chrome and wasn't bothered about it but may try it again one of the days.

I'm intrigued as to why you need two different browsers in use at the same time though.
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die

I occasionaly need to log into a site under more than one id.
Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.

Together we can make a difference.

Exactly same experience here. I uninstalled it about 20 minutes after trying it out. And to be honest I've had various problems with Apple's software ported to Windows in general.

Actually quite a good reason and I suppose falls under the "keeping cookies separate" that I mentioned. It hadn't crossed my mind about the multiple ID aspect. Then again I tend to have just single accounts in places which is why I hadn't thought of that.

  • I would give safari another attempt, it has improved alot recently.
Saying that though, I still don't use it. I use Firefox and Chrome and occassionly Opera.
Would not touch Internet Explorer with a barge pole, patches or no patches!

Now there's an update for Firefox... completely isolated tabbed sessions...
Just think, if you had two seperate ebay identities, you could bid against yourself...

I've got two ebay identities. One for transactions and one I keep to the ebay forum. You're allowed to have as many as you like as long as they don't interact in any way. As long as there's no shill bidding etc.

Safari is even horrible on Mac OS X! It might look pretty but I've never been impressed, I use Firefox on both platforms, I use both platforms daily. It's not a credible browser on Windows at all, Apple released it to prove they could, but Firefox, Opera and even Chrome nowadays are much better alternatives, everyone has a personal preference though, I just love FF!

Couldn't you run the IE Tab plug in under Firefox, and achieve the same all in one browser, two tabs, or does IE Tab not separate out the cookies to the IE storage area?

I like Safari on Mac OS X, I just wish it didn't keep timing out on me (very annoying on a last minute bid on eBay) and it had better cookie management; I have all cookies disabled in Firefox apart from selected sites.

Once Apple get around to fixing it, I'll happily use it again.
