My newphew is coming from NZ to stay with me here in the UK and is bringing his laptop with him. Can someone advise me what it is I need to get for him to be able to plug his laptop into the electrics over here??? Ive looked up inverter/converter/adaptor and I still cant fathom out what I need lol..
Or - just to confuse things even more - is it a possiblity to be able to buy in the UK the power cord for the type of laptop he has (HP550 bought in NZ) and just plug that in to his laptop or is there something inside the actual laptop that wont take the UK power???? I hope someone can understand all this lol......thanks for you help

the NZ supply is basically the same as the UK supply but the PLUG is different.
so all he needs to do is to buy a plug converter in NZ before coming....0 -

They seem to have the same voltage and frequency. It's just the plug that's different. http://www.kropla.com/electric2.htm
