What the difference between this and Guitar Hero World Tour?

The games are basically the same only World Tour is the new version. Or one of the new versions. It's "better", has new songs on it and so forth but the gameplay is essentially the same.

As some people have said earlier in the thread, the main difference is really just the choice of tunes in each. World Tour is also more expandable (if I'm right) allowing you to add microphones, a drum set and a second guitar. GH3 will only allow 1 or 2 guitars.

Hope that helps. I'm off down to Dundee first thing tomorrow to see if they have them in!

Some stores have this now and others will be getting them soon enough apparently. They are likely to fly off the shelves so ring before you head into the christmas shopping madness.

I just checked on the HMV website and they are now selling the PS2 version of GH3 online for £25.99 with free UK delivery.

They will post within 48 hours so obviously it won't arrive in time for Christmas, but it's still a good deal for PS2 users - especially with the wireless guitar controller included.

The other formats are still at their usual price (at time of looking).

Plenty in Swansea at £34.25 on all platforms and £28 for PS2. Massively long but fast moving queue.

I was going to mention the PS2 version on the website, but was beaten to it. I've just ordered it anyway. A point to note - the website says at the start that you must have stuff delivered to the billing address but this *is not* the case. During the order process, you can put in any number of alternative delivery addresses.

There is also an option for Royal Mail special delivery at £6.90, but no obvious indication of how much faster this'll get it to you.

I rang Dundee this morning (before they opened) and a very nice chap said they were holding all the reduced stock back until Boxing Day. Also that they could *not* beat the web site on the price of the PS2 one, though he couldn't/wouldn't tell me how much it would be when it was placed on the shop front (except for "not much more than the website").

Thing is, I'll be away on Boxing Day (with the fairies after drinking heavily, most likely) so wouldn't be able to get to the store. I don't mind waiting a while hence I've ordered it online. It's a present for myself

woolworths that are closing 27th dec may have some of these at 50% off been in Ringwood Hants and either guitar 3 or world tour cant remember which is usually £74 but now £36 with guitar they had a few for wii and playstation did not see any x box but may be worth looking into if woolies closing 27th near you but be quick. also x box 360 half price sold in woolies today around 10am but last one I heard from Ringwood.

as far as im aware the guitars are compatible with all the guitar hero games

picked up 2 copies of GH3 yesterday in stevenage for £34.25 each. needed 2 guitars and was cheaper to buy 2 than 1 pack and an extra guitar controller.

they had loads in the shop window for wii and 360
