I have MS Money 2003. Is there any reason for me to buy this 2005 version?

I updated my MS Money last year for the 2005 and would suggest you don't bother, nothing worth upgrading for in my opinion icon7.gif

Same thing happened to me, and now it comes up as £14.97 + a delivery charge. Have e-mailed Tesco to ask why this has happened.
The lower price is from Tesco Jersey and includes delivery. The higher price is Tesco.com.

There was no mention of Tesco Jersey on the email I received from them. Sorry about that folks- looks like it wasn't the 'big deal of the day' that they made out it was :(

Edit: I forgot to say you can get a free version of ms money for your pocket pc from the ms money website so you can update your records as you shop !

Micro$oft are not issuing a 2006 update in the UK or France (or anywhere except the USA, I believe). So did you buy your copy in the States?

    Yes, Micro$oft. As in "$ky".

  • For thos eof you with the american 2006 release, just set your currency in MS Money to £. For the imports you can still import details in QIF format which is a globally accepted standard and banks such as Halifx, TSB and Credit cards like MBNA and Capital One will export statements in this format. When you do the export MS Money asks which account it is to be imported into and you select from the ones you've created.

We just rebuilt our machine and spent two hours last night re-creating our MS Money from scracth including budgets, etc al. We have the 2004 version and it's superb.

Usually the online features are what improves from version to version as well as presentation improvements. 2006 is very nice looking but doesn't present a massive number of new features over 2004 or 2005 for me to move to.

Money also provides great get out of debt style features which will track your Credit Cards, loans, mortgage, etc. based on your interest rate and will let you project the value of extra payments and that sort of thing.

A very good and worthwhile product all around. Like so many good products it never really gets bad press so a lot of people don't seem to know it even exists. Shame the good products don't get the same press inches as bad ones.
... and that's all I have to say about that.
