Hello,

We have booked some tickets with EasyJet for a weekend in Barcelona on March 11th.

Can anyone offer any advice on potential hotels which wont break the bank!!

Gang of lads are off to Barcelona at the end of March. I've booked the Condestable Hotel on the recommendation of someone who has stayed there before.Cost is good and it is situated superbly.

Very nice and we'd stay there again - not expensive and clean which is what we wanted, plus near metro stop.

I booked double rooms for £35 per room per night- and it's a 4 star hotel! checked prices by booking direct at about £40 and then found cheaper still on lastmimute.com.

Brand new inside and the staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful. I emailed them several times before the trip to organise things, they even layed on chauffer driven mercs to collect us from the airport for about 30 euros per car. (and the lady i was emailing commented on how cheap we got the rooms for what was the busiest weekend of the year in Barcelona!). We did the whole weekend for under £300 each including granstand F1 tickets thanks to this hotel.

Hi there,

we stayed at Hotel Oasis, which we booked through ryanair.

Was pretty cheap, so don't expect 5 star rooms (lobby, bar, cafe etc were fine though).... the rooms were quite basic, but they're fine if you're simply going there to sleep and are going to be out all day.

The hotel itself is quite near the beach, and about a 15-20 min walk to the Ramblas.... all in all, we were really pleased with location, especially as the Metro stop was literally yards away (get a T-10 travelcard for the Metro!).

PS - Barcelona is excellent.... you'll have a great time! BUT BEWARE OF PICKPOCKETS (THAT WORK TOGETHER) ON THE TUBE!

Also beware of the prostitutes on Las Ramblas. Got out of the clubs at 4 in the morning and walked back to the hotel. When u refuse thier services, they can get very aggressive
