i went to see if raskazz had found an example of insurance company taking a customer to court to sue them for 3rd party costs ([referably one where cuastomer was made bankrupt) - i don't expect he found one, but was surprised to see the threasd removed altogether
Is any moderator able to give a reason for this? it seems a little bit "cloak and dagger"
thanks in advance

Oh dear, JonBoy. You seem to have upset some people, including me.
This is the last time I am going to post on one of your threads; to be honest I do not think that you are worth the time.
I have seen your views on driving with a mobile telephone and I have concluded that you are just here trying to wind people up.
The members of this forum give their time and advice for free. I have seen them give some very good advice and the assistance they have provided to members of the public with insurance difficulties is a credit to the industry.
If you don't like what we are doing here, leave the site and let us get on with helping people who need it.
As for an example of someone getting sued for third party costs, I know of one company (a former employer) who has an outstanding bankrupcy order for a customer they proved fraud against and were awarded costs at court. I also had someone made bankrupt when I was a Claims Manager in about 1995. They were an uninsured third party who I took exception to.
I'm not going to give you any more details and I don't care what you think of my post. The opinion of colleagues on this site who are here to help people matters to me; you don't.In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -
I know of loads of such cases. We do it all the time. Bankruptcy, charging orders on properties, orders for sale, etc.0

Never mind, one day you might find something that you know what you are talking about!0 -
if i get things wrong i don't mind admitting it (unlike some on here)
i spoke to my insurer ages ago, and they don't me something like "you aren't alloowed to have 2 car insurance poloicies for the same vehicle". i took this to mean it was illegal, but maybe kit was just specific to this company? i figured it was sensible because surely it's illegal to make two claims on the seperate policies for the same incident?
Would be interested to learn what circumstances people buy two insurance policvies for the same car if someone could oblige? that what the forum is for after all - we all learn something new sometimes:T0 -
i forgot to add - apologies to OP if i mis-lead them0
