You need a European Health Card now to replace the E111 if you are going to Europe.

My son is going to France with the school and we were told he needed a card. The appliction was sumbitted around 5.30pm on Tuesday evening, and the cards arrived in Thursday mornings post.

I ordered mine friday and got it saturday morning. Pity all government departments aren't as efficient!

I have just applied for one, I was told that I would get it automatically from the last application I filled in for an E111 but it's not turned up !

I applied for a set for the family before we went on Holiday in December. We were due to be back before the E111 expired, but if we did have a medical problem, we could easily have gone over the expiry.

The cards arrived in about two days. Then after we came back from holiday, another set arrived - I presume automatically from the records of the E111s.

Fast passport service.

I sent my sons passport away last monday 09/01 by special delivery and the new one arrived back on the friday13/03. 5 days. :T

Yes my DD sent for hers last Saturday and it arrived on Thursday, normal service no special delivery or post office checking etc. They seem to be quite quick at the moment.
