never ever had a problem before with play until now.

one item i ordered was sent on the 13th but is yet to arrive. the other, which was released on the 24 november 2008, they took my order but it just sat there when i checked online so i called them and they said as its a new release they are waiting for their stock to arrive.

so why advertise as in stock?

pre release stuff takes ages to arrive from play, i ordered a limited edition cd and didnt get it till a week and a half after release

i've ordered pre-order stuff before on play and on two occassions it actually arrived the day before release date. swings and roundabouts!

the preorder on play used to be very good, used to get most items a few days before release date. I stopped using them for preorders a few years ago as started getting a lot of items upto a week after release date

I agree they really seem to have gone downhill this year.

In the past I would always receive stuff from them within about 3 days, in a nice Jiffy bag. All free delivery, and much faster than Amazon.

Ordered 3 items the weekend of 6/7 for a birthday last weekend (14th) thinking it was plenty of time. Items were stated as 'in stock' and 'usually sent out within 24 hours'. However the items were not posted by them until Wednesday 10th, and didn't arrive til Monday (15th) - missing the birthday.

I will have to think twice before using them again!

I've had the same problem with Play sending out pre-orders being sent out days after the actual release date.

sorry should have made myself clearer, i ordered this AFTER the release date. thye never had 'out of stock' stated on their website.
