I have just set up a couple of gmail accounts and added them to thunderbird, i did this yesterday and could recieve mail fine. Today i have tried to get my new messages and a pop up appears asking for me to "enter password for xxxxx@googlemail.com on pop.googlemail.com" ?
I have tried the passwords which i have used when setting up the google accounts, but no luck.
Anyone know where i am going wrong? Where is the password option for individual accounts in Thunderbird?
Thanks for any help:)

If I understand you right, you need in Thunderbird:
Tools, Options, Advanced, Click + on saved passwords, View Saved Passwords, show passwords, click yes then you will see all the entered passwords on the right hand side (including the wrong ones)
The problem is if you enter a wrong password TB always sends it to the server so you need to remove all the passwords for gmail and then it will ask for a password when you connect, this time put in the correct one.0 -
Edit: All sorted

In the View Saved Passwords screen, select the site entry for gmail and click on Remove, then Close and OK. When you next connect to gmail, you should get asked for the password.0
