Paid item charges

Very depressed.

Had three debit card transactions come out my account last week that I did the week before. Because they all took my over my overdraft I've been charged a paid item charge of £25 FOR EACH TRANSACTION sob sob sob!!

Is there nothing I can do? Are Alliance & Leicester allowed to charge £75 for three transactions that dont even total £75???

Someone please cheer me up, I feel like I'm being slowly killed this week!!

Only option is to ask nicely and see if they'll offer some sort of refund but in present climate I wouldn't be suprised if the answer was 'no'.

This is the sort of situation where Halifax's new Reward Current Account (to be launched in February) will be good. With that, you'll be charged £5 per day that you are over your overdraft limit, with no paid item/unpaid item charges.
