since christmas capital one have been calling me (i have a credit card with them) trying to sell me life insurance.
each time theyve phoned theyve said they'll call back because ive been busy with charlie. and each time ive told them not to bother as im not interested in what they've got to sell to which one person i spoke to said "ok i'll make a note of that".
so who phones today but capital one.
CO : are you interested in life insurance...blah...blah...blah
ME : (cutting in) im not interested. i am on maternity leave and therefore money is tight so i cant afford it...
CO : (cutting in to me this time) but the first 60 days are free...blah...blah...blah...blah
ME : how many time do i have to say im not interested. i've told the numerous others who've called before you that i am not interested and one even said he would make a note of that so i wasn't expecting to be hassled again.
CO : (puts phone down without even an apology. HOW RUDE)

there is normally a couple seconds delay from these call centres before they speak, was was getting people calling 3 times per day so got to know it was them. i wait for 2 seconds and then shout as loudly as i can "PHUK ORRRRF".
if nothing else it makes me feel better, strangly the calls have stopped from 3 of the 4 compainies now.what is the plural of moose?

i always hang up. i think its rude when you answer and they put you on hold without the decency of at least saying hello.There's someone in my head, but it's not me0 -
Had a similar problem with Barclaycard a couple of years ago... this worked for me you may like to try..
When the next call is made, get the name of the company, and their address making the call... it will be a third party company acting on behalf of capital one..
Now phone Capital one.. and tell them that you are being plagued by a company working on their behalf and that they can take the card back and place it somewhere appropriate..
make it clear that the reason you are canceling is this “third part” company.. that this company is causing you problems with their attitude.. etc.. and how this company is ruining the reputation of on outstanding company like “capital one”, but you feel you can no longer do business with them as this “third party” company is causing you to waste time and effort, and they will not listen to the word “no”....
in my case Barclaycard rolled over in circles to keep my business including a "payment" for my time and inconvenience...
and i never received any more phone calls... so happy days..The only place where success comes before work is the dictionary…
