18185 payment problem

Barclaycard has failed to pay my first 18185 bill--through no fault of mine but due to problems within its systems. They have told me that payment will be made next month when 18185 present my second bill.
Can I be sure that my 18185 account will still be open then or do they cancel after say 28 days due to non payment. I can register an alternative means of payment as advised by 18185 but would like to keep the account on my Barclaycard.
Any advice appreciated.

Best to email 18185? I did that when I changed my payment from credit card to debit card and it took about 3 weeks for the payment to show in my account. They do response quickly. Hope this helps0

You don't want to have your 18185 account restricted or closed due to non-payment, as you may then find it difficult to resume.
I think what I would be inclined to do is to set up another means of payment, like a debit card or DD. When your first invoice has been successfully settled from this source of funds, change your payment method back to your preferred option.
Finarea, the Swiss-based company behind 18185, do not have much in the way of customer service facilities. They appear to credit-approve customers by letting a new account run up a few call charges, then trying to get payment. If this is successful the account is then operated under normal credit terms, with monthly payments taken (some months will be skipped if only a small sum is owing). Because of this, I think it is important for you to get your first payment made successfully.
I hope this will help you.

I'd suggest you make sure they won't cease your account by paying by BACS the invoice for which you know the call on your Barclaycard failed - see HERE (they are the same firm as 1899 and 18866 so just insert your 18185 account number instead).Barclaycard has failed to pay my first 18185 bill--through no fault of mine but due to problems within its systems. Any advice appreciated.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
