Virgin application time?

A friend of mine applied for a Virgin card online2 weeks ago,and has heard nothing. Apparently the message at the end of the application said up to 10 working days,and if further info was needed they would contact. They have had no contact since then. Does anyone know if this is normal in the probably busy run up to Xmas? I said I would ask the experts on this board!:D

I applied for a new Virgin card online on the 11th Dec with an immediate acceptance. Pin arrived 15th, card today and money transfer actioned 2 days ago. Maybe your friend's has been referred for some reason.0

They applied on a Sunday apparently, and according to the website,that falls outside the timeframe for instant acceptances! which is why it says up to 10 working days. It seems that these applications are in the slow stream!0

I applied for egg card on the 9th and have a email saying it will take 7 - 10 days for card to be delivered but its christmas and the post system is rubbish.0
