To the OP - I dont mean to question you, but I find it hard to believe that you cannot find any installers on the www.trustcorgi.com website.
I have just double checked that it is working correctly and came up with our own details in a list of installers so I'm sure it is. What is your postcode??

It is more than possible that I was doing something wrong - I have a script-filter on my browser and I was tired, so perhaps that was why I got a nil result. Or perhaps it was some other technical glitch. I'll try again later.

I've never met anyone who chose one either. Still, I'm sure they can't be that bad!

Well, my water-heating Chaffoteaux & Maury boiler, installed about 10 years ago, has been great - no worries at all.

  • We had a Chaffoteux,it worked fine for a couple of years and we had it on British gas maintenance contract.
When it broke down it took British gas three days and five men to fix it.They all said they did'nt want to have to do the job.In the end I had two men and they took almost 8 hours to get it repaired.

British Gas - just say no. Arrogant, unreliable, and twice as expensive as independents.

  • Haven't been able to find any of those threads - please could you give me a word to search on or say how long ago they were?

I have just ran a search for CORGI-registered gas engineer within 50 miles to do installation on natural gas central heating, on the trustcorgi site, and got NIL. A year ago, there were a dozen or so.

Good morning: Here is one thread . Your location shows as London under your user name.....literally 1000s of RGIs will be listed under London postcodes....I've check the CORGI site as well ...no problems:confused:
Many RGIs won't fit a CM as the callbacks would be all too frequent:D

    TVM, that's kind - I'll read that.

Yes, it was probably me doing something wrong.

Well, as I have said, my C&M water heating boiler installed 10 years ago has worked like a dream. Looks good, too.

Hi...the CM water heaters have been popular with RGIs for years and a better product then the boilers ...much less to go wrong (again quality of the initial installation has a role here).

Which side of London are you? If it is south - southwest I can recommend a good firm of ch engineers who install boilers.
