i have been asked to find a good free program that will work with ms outlook express to block or filter spam e-mail.

anyone have any ideas?

https://www.spam.org has lots of anti spam info and will helps you set up your own spam filters.

https://www.spamache.com is pretty good (although not free) - seems to catch 90%+ of my spam.

I have been using Spamihilator for many months. Its filter 'learns' what is and sin't spam from your inputs, so improving detection and filtering.

It's a good (and free!) program.
