I am having a nightmare with the above company.
I bought some shoes for work at the end of Oct. After wearing them a few times, they split down the side so I sent them an email to complain. They replied and said if I returned them then they would replace them. I asked if they would refund the returns postage as why should I pay for their faulty goods? They agreed if I kept the proof of posting so I sent them back.
After 2 weeks I hadn't received my replacement and it turns out that they are now 'lost' in the postal system!! They decided to refund me as they are now out of stock in my size! They have just refunded me for the shoes and not my returns postage which I'm so annoyed about. They've said that on their website it says that they do not refund postage under any circumstances so why tell me that they would refund me??!! Unfortunately though I can't now find the email that said that the postage was free.
What are my rights? Where do I look for more information on my rights? Surely,I shouldn't have to pay returns postage for an item that's faulty?
Also, they have said that they've refunded me onto my credit card that I used to pay,but it expired at the end of Oct?! I've checked my account and no refund has been received. I have a new credit card number so surely the refund won't reach me?! The company have said that they ONLY refund by the original method of payment so,does anyone know where I stand on this?!
Thank you and sorry it's so long!!

A good company would refund the return postage for sending back a faulty product. Have you been back in touch with the company to see if perhaps it was just an oversight? At my place of work if we refund a faulty item we have to manually go and refund the postage as our system will only let us automatically refund for an item on a customer account.
As for your credit card I think you will need to speak to the card company. If my memory serves me right a refund should be made back to the card originally used to pay for a purchase. The company you purchased the shoes from may not be aware that the card has expired as they may use a payment processor to process their payments and they wouldn't be party to that information.
Hope you get some success on this.0
