Regular savings for Niece/Nephew

Buckby
My partners sister is due to give birth in March and on top of the usual gifts we would like to open an account, paying in a small regular sum each month until the child reaches 18/21. We would like to start by paying in only £5 a month and ideally not have to open new current accounts etc to transfer the money each month.
Does anybody have similar accounts or can anyone point me in the direction of some good deals? im not looking to change this each year so again ideally i want an account i can pretty much leave for 18 years, so no 1 year deals please.
any hep would be gratefully appreciated.

Topping up the Child Trust Fund selected by the parents is possibly going to be your best bet.0
