I think this Nick Parr guy who started this thread should take some responsibility for where it is going. >:(
He just started this snowball rolling down a hill, and look where it has gone. He could have at least run along beside it for a while giving it a nudge this way and that to keep it from smashing into anything. :-/

Off shore is a misnomer unless the financial institution is afloat or based upon the seabed. I guess the term has gained popularity because of insular island predjucices about financial affairs abroad.
