I just got free next day delivery from amazon by joining amazon prime free membership.. chose this option because was free and meant would get my prezie before xmas!
WARNING
they will charge you automatically if you do not deselect the auto update option in your account settings!!
this really sort of thing annoys me... since I only happened to notice the small print and would have cost me £50 ish!!!
but nice free next day!

This is (a) not a grabbit, and (b) has been discussed to death many a time already. Please search before you post. The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

was too eager
will search next time0 -
Have to agree with Sid here. Been done to death and they do make it obvious, as well as not being a grabbit0
-
Wasn't obvious to me and I haven't seen it on here before either. Why be snappy when someone is just trying to help other people out? Chill peeps!Over-worked but happy mum0

It wasn't snappy, just pointing out where the person had gone wrong and suggesting they search before posting. The OP apologised instead of kicking off, so obviously weren't too offended so no real need for you to try and intercede on their behalf.0 -
I didn't know about it, thankyou for posting, even if its the wrong board0

Amazon did an offer back in May when you could get a years Prime for free.
Hope they do it again next year as took the offer and is very good.
Only worth the money if you order loads of things during the year.0 -
I have just taken this offer out and didn't deselect anything. Thank you for bringing it to my attention, i'll read up on it now!0

when I did it, it said free TRIAL and said that if you didnt cancel before the 30 days up you would be charged £49.00, and have a years membership, fair enough I though?
Great service, even if you only use it once a month its worth it as its 1 day delivery not the 3-5 working days of normal delivery. I've used it 20 times or so this month alone!0 -

There will of been many people who perhaps took up this option due to Xmas. The 'OP' is pointing out to many that the service has to be canceled before the 'free month' is finished in order for them not to be automatically charged £49.
I have no doubt in the coming week we will be besieged with Next VIP threads. At least this thread saves people from being charged for something they may not have known about otherwise.
I agree with your search before you post comment, alas, that option seems to be rarely used.catch220
