Most the BIG on line type companies will want new anual business, I'd think.
Try a broker, more chance that way.
I've been with http://www.aplan.co.uk a Luton company, since I started driving (too long ago!!) & they've always been more than helpful. Probably why they've quite a few branches, now!!
& if you already have an existing policy, you can add an extra vehicle to this.

I can see the argument for not doing monthly policies (ie insure for month big crash many injured huge claim etc). Do you have a company that you or parents perhaps use on a regular basis?0
