i would love to have the confidence to go it alone with my DMP but i have too much self doubt most of the time and would probably end up messing things up!!!
i like the fact i can get someone to negotiate on my behalf as i end up getting frustrated and shouting at folks:o.
Mabe one day i will have the guts and knowledge to go it alone!!!proud to be facing debts of 16000k
will be debt free in 3 years 9 months:beer:
Nothing is too scary now!!!!!!

That's exactly how i feel, think at least to start with i'm going to need the support!
This morning i've changed nearly all of my DD details for my priority payments, still not spoken to CCCS but will on Monday!0 -
I received a letter from The Ombudsman today, saying that they have written to MBNA re: the direct debit fiasco with my loan.
MBNA were one of the first creditors to accept the DMP, but I'm still having the mystery of whom is reinstating the DD on my Natwest account, which is resulting in charges galore!!
Obviously both MBNA and Natwest are blaming each other. The Ombudsman said it sounded like MBNA are at fault, and agreed that I was doing everything I could to get my finances under control with the DMP.
I hope I did the right thing there!!!I'm always in the brown stuff (marmite)....only the depth varies!!! :rotfl:0 -
Hi
I just got all my info through from CCCS sayiong they have accepted us & first payment is due 1st June. Do I still send token payments out for May (have sent them along with notifications of debt management letters for April)?
Also I have just received a letter from Egg - a default notice, it says I have until june 1st to pay full balance of £7k or it will be sent to a debt collector, should I be worried? (I am!)

When I asked payplan about sending token payments for my bank overdraft she said not to worry about the overdraft with the token payments, but I did send token payments for my loans, the address should be on top of the loan agrement you signed or just look on line
Hope this helps
can anyone else confirm that this is correct, we dont need to send token paymenst for overdrafts? I am just sending mine off (for May) & have 3 overdrafts but didnt buy enough postal odresr, so was wondering if i should get some more or not bother? ThanksLight Bulb Moment feb 2009

icecube2009 - Yes, send token payments for May, as the June start will pay for June.
Egg seem to default immediately, then all goes quiet. I haven't heard a peep from them since they defaulted me (7 months ago).
Also, I just sent token payments for anything I received a statement for, plus any loans. Don't worry about the OD, because you don't have any contractual payments for them?DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -

Am I right in thinking from reading your previous threads that you also sent token payments for April? Because i think I'm one month behind you, I.e. sending token payments for May, will have to do same for June, then pay CCCS 1st July0 -

Thank you very much. I have a card & loan with egg & dh has a card, they ring constantly (5 or 6 times a day at the moment!) i dont answer! DH did speak to them & say he was on a dmp though, wonder if I should do the same, he said they told him not to worry they would just default him! so what happens once it is defaulted??? I assume I tell the CCCS ? do they still send egg the payments? all a lot to take in really!!! (or maybe I am just stupid! LOL)
I have been reading up on CCA's & wondered if it worth doing this too at this time?
Thanks again for your helpLight Bulb Moment feb 2009
