in Techie Stuff
hi ive been having a few problems with my lap top recently , its ten months old ,but now the screen has gone totaly blank and the lights stay on but i cant do any thing with it
. its going back to the shop but i just wonderd what it was ? thank you

You haven't reduce the brightness to nothing by accident have you?
On the Function keys you will see a "sun" and an up arrow, try holding that down with the FN key, just to be on the safe sideIt's taken me years of experience to get this cynical0 -

Along similar lines, have you turned the screen off? Again, one of your function buttons will do this - equivalent to turning the monitor on your PC off.0 -
It could be a few problems
backlight
memory needs resinking
brightness so on

hi& thank you for replies no i havnt turned moniter off or alterd the brightness ,when i rang up for technial advice the bloke told me to turn the wireless key off , but when i tried it wont turn of at all, so he said yes it needs to come in ,0
