Cushion stuffing

I wonder if any of you moneysavers can help me. I have a two seater sofa with removable cushions. The foam from the inside of the (zipped) covers has seen betetr days and has beem discarded. I need to get the covers refilled but I am having trouble finding an inexpensive method to do this. I have just come back from my local upholsterery shop who quoted £100 for the two cushions. The sofa's not even worth that! I've looked on-line and it is slightly cheaper that way but I can't believe that two pieces of foam can cost that much. The size of each cover is 27" x 27" x 6". Has anyone got any cheaper ideas on ways to stuff my cushions?
thanks

Dunelm Mill sell foam which you could cut to fit yourself. Probably wouldn't be as high a grade of foam as the upholstery shop would use, but should do the job. Even cheaper would be if you've got any market stalls, little independent fabric shops round your way.0

Cutting foam that thick is a right pain, unless you have the right kit. (I speak from experience!)
I recently re-upholstered a chair, and took the templates to a local foam shop. it was only a few inches thick, but two pieces cost around a tenner, cut to shape and size.
I'd check with a foam place, not an upholsterer, if you don't want new covers?Debbie0
