Radeon Graphics Card

Does anyone know where i can get a Radeon 9800 graphics card for a very nominal price, unfortunatly the newer games that are now released require this card as a minimum but due to Chrstmas this is at the other end of my priority list.
It comes with either 128mb or 256mb but would prefer the 256mb card.
Thanks

could try either www.cclonline.com or www.ebuyer.com - just make sure that you get an AGP card if thats what your motherboard supports.
although it may be tricky to get hold of a 9800Don't try to teach a pig to sing - it wastes your time and annoys the pig0 -
I use ebay usually:idea:0

something old like that...ebay is a good choice, plenty of people will have upgraded and so have 'older' stuff to get shut of.
The rad 9800 might be listed as the minimum spec card for the games, chances are they'll barely run on it, you could do with getting something a bit more recent. what's your budget (and slot type (agp or pci-e)Utinam logica falsa tuam philosophiam totam suffodiant.0 -

I believe the motherboard is AGP slot & up to 8x.
Infact the motherboard is an Asrock k7s41, im no comp buff so any help would be gratefull.

Is the actual computer up to it?
What cpu and ram do you have?
Is the power supply up to an extra load?:idea:0 -

The 3650 off conor's link may be a better choice
*But* the asrock board supports the old Athlon socket 462 processors so the Radeon most likely will suffer from CPU bottleneck on later games.
The power supply may not be up to the job, something with an output 450 watts ofr greater would be helpful.
A better strategy would be to save and upgrade the Pc.0 -
I'm with rob on this one, if you can afford to write off £40 get a new card, but the reality is that your PC is not up to much by todays standards, and there's not really a lot that you can do regarding upgrades to enable it to play modern games. your motherboard supports an outdated cpu and gpu socket, your ram probably runs at a low speed and your PSU is up to the job of running your current PC...but may struggle on a newer one. If you have the money, cut your losses and start again (I had a very similar problem in June this year, 939 board, agp slot, dead graphics card
