what is up with Royal Mail atm ???!

Is anyone else experienced a lot of non deliveries ?

I have posted some 20 items recently of which 25% have just not arrived after a week.

they were all sent 1st class, some recorded all with proof of posting...

can't believe how poor it is at the moment.

It is really starting to put me off selling because of the grief it attracts from buyers (through no fault of my own) when they fail to deliver and the cost of replacing goods / going through the pain of claiming...

[end rant]

I haven't a clue whats going on!! I have been sending all my items recorded and 3 people have come back to me today complaining of parcels not being recieved yet!

My other half said that he has heard whispers of strikes so this may be the reason!

I have lots of problems here with post being very slow. Don't forget to write to the post office each and every time something is late and complain. If items are very late then they will pay a little compensation. I recently got £10 compensation for a parcel that took 30 days to get to me!

    ABSOLUTELY NOTHING !!!

I've posted 30 packages in the last month, ALL 2nd class and over 20 of them have been delivered the following day.
The remaining 7 or so have all been delivered the day after that.
    Can't fault it, absolutely brilliant.

And just in case your thinking I sending them to places within my local city limits, or its suburbs or even within the same county, NO I'm not.

Most of them have just caught the VERY last post of the day, 18:00 from my local post office, and have been delivered before 11:00 the following morning in destinations all over the country. Average distance estimated at over 200 miles (as the crow flies)

  • Only problem I've had with royal mail lately is trying to check the delivery status on an item.

The website is saying its not been delivered, but the buyer has left feedback saying the item arrived yesterday morning
