Britannia Regular Saver (post maturity)

Has anyone who received the maturity pack relating to their Britannia Regular Saver account, posted off instructions to Head Office rather than going to a branch?
Just wondered as I posted the paperwork off to open a follow-on regular saver, and to return the existing balance as a cheque, a couple of weeks ago and heard zilch since then.
Good job I wasn't relying on the accumulated balance for Christmas or anything. Are they usually this slow or should I be chasing?

For future reference - it's best to open an direct online account (min £100) and get them to transfer funds to that. Then move money to your nominated account. I got my RS money back 3 days after maturity.0

So I'm working on the basis of a 3 week delay and some kind of offer of goodwill this time too/ [But do be nice to Britannia. After all, they are giving us another year @7.5% - not to be sniffed at!]
Update: Cheque and new passbook arrived Friday 19th - and the estimated interest shortfall due to the delay is £4. I shall ring them up presently and just ask for this - and leave it up to them to suggest any higher figure for inconvenience as I'm not a bloodsucker and it is Christmas......under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -
I went to the branch as I do not trust the Royal mail anymore so decided to be direct.
I had got a letter from Britannia offering me another 7.5% reg saver but forgot to take it with me and the staff there did not believe me at first. They checked their system and were adamant that any accounts maturing in December(Mine ended 4th Dec) were only being offered a 4.2% fixed rate bond. I told them about my letter and they decided to check again by calling their head honcho who confirmed that I was indeed correct. They then proceeded to set it up and took out my first monthly payment as well. I also got my maturity payment for in the form of a cheque so am happy that I managed to conclude my business there on the same day.
7.5% is a fantastic rate and I agree with the staff's sentiments that I was lucky to get it. Contrary to my expectations they were pretty pleased about it too. It is such a shame that all their other accounts smell like poo. If only they were a society that gave everyone their fair share:rolleyes:0
