TFT monitor not working :(

Options
Hi hope you lot may be able to help me!!

I was given a proview TFT monitor a few months back by my sister...second hand, it wasn't used alot no bumps, knocks etc!

I set it up on my pc and it was working fine for a month or so then all of a sudden it wont register any images...just flashes a black screen then a white screen continously :confused: btw no power surges etc when it happened

Tried different cables, also tried it on a differrent pc and same thing!!

We are at a loss to what's caused it or how to fix it!

SO.....

Is it 'gone for good' or does someone on here know what we can do to make it work again??? lol

Thanks :)

I haven't looked, but it maybe worth searching google with the make and model number...you may find some forums with much more info than this forum. the other option is to find a more specialist forum...again a google search should lead you in the right direction.

I'll be watching this thread with interest as I'm currently having problems with one of our TFT monitors. It worked fine until we moved house but when we set it all up here the monitor doesn't appear to be working now :(

It starts by flashing on and off and then goes white with a series of coloured lines down the screen. Now I haven't had chance to check it on any other PC yet, or to check that the graphics card is seated properly in case it got jogged during the move and isn't connecting properly, so that will be my first line when I get chance to do some troubleshooting on it. I just hope the monitor isn't knackered as it's only a year old :(

Are they sensitive enough to become damaged if moved?

Are you able to get any on-screen display, menu etc.?

I assume you have not altered any display settings on the computer?

There's nothing at all displayed even before Windows starts properly?
Thanks for your reply Ian :)

    Nothing shows at all :(

Just flashes black and then white...I'm pretty sure hubby tried to get the on-screen menu up but no joy

Nothing shows up b4 windows starts up and we didn't alter any display settings before this happened
