Ive gone back to shopping at Tescos as Asdas prices have gone up so much, plus find there meat very poor quality. Also, they don't take coupons any more so another reason for going back to Tescos.

Just to add on the meat thing, check very very very carfully before buying meat from ASDA. I have noticed weird green marks on some of there produce and in the past I have opened there beef mince to find it was off. I do buy there turkey sasuages though and they seem ok, just a little pricey.

Their own 'mars' and 'twix' kind of chocs went from 99p each or 2 for £1.50 to over £1 each when the new VAT law came in!

They have been 2 for £1.50 for ages, but the minute the Govt drop the VAT they up the bl00min price! I wonder how many people don't notice the 'drop' in deals cos this wasn't the only one I noticed the other week.

They are quick to advertise the Rollback, but not so quick to tell you which products they added the Rollback reductions on to!

They must think we are daft!
Absolutely, I noticed this on the childrens tube of sweets, smarties, haribo etc, when the VAT was cut they were going through the till at 93p. Today I went to buy my some as stocking fillers and the price on the SEL was £1.07, going through the tills at £1 according to my receipt. Needless to say not extremely impressed and it's not passing on the VAT cut if you up your prices to compensate. Lowest priced supermarket my ***, upping the price by 7p, it's not on.:(
