I'm pretty sure he's already said that.

You do have to pay for music though, so I'm not sure how it qualifies as "free".

The streaming is free. Just like most of the songs on we7. You just don't actually have a copy of the music stored on your own pc. Although at least with we7 there are quite a few songs you can download for free as well as stream.

  • This is true, Spotify doesn't offer any free downloads, but the Independent listed it as the music website of the year today, so it ain't all bad!

I have had Spotify for the last couple of weeks and can confirm it's
    (a) legal
    (b) free, and
    (c) brilliant!

Basically if you're listening to a load of songs in a row you'll get a few adverts now and then, but no more intrusively than on commercial radio.

I too must vouch for Spotify. I've been using it since the BETA and it is very good. The music is free to stream because there are some advertisements, they are usually only short and not really too annoying. The reason you need an invite at the moment is because it is still in BETA. If you want you can have an invite code and check it out for yourself. I have 4 left

  • There's a temporary back door that you can access Spotify without an invite here - https://www.spotify.com/en/get-started/

And there's loads of Xmas songs on there so Merry Christmas!

Hi do you still have any of these invites left? I've just read about it in the Mail On Sunday, and would like to check it out.
