patronizing Leeds train station staff

How useless, patronizing and unfriendly are the train station staff at Leeds? I honestly think it's one of the worst train stations in the UK
I mean being called young man at the station (in patronizing manner) and telling me to get lost to my platform! When i told him i'll ask the conductor of the train when it arrives (because he was obviously being a !!!!) and he even threated to get BTP on me! I only wanted to ask why they wouldn't let me get a bike reservation to Wakefield (a !!!!!!! 10 min journey!) and how i'd be able to get one because they gave me one happily Wakefield to Leeds. I wasn't even threatening, violent or anything!
Does any other young people on this board feel as though they are treat like young hooligans by staff on pubic transport?

Years ago I saw one of the guys in the ticket booths where they checked tickets tear a ticket right out of a man's hand when he asked to keep it as a receipt for expenses (seems perfectly reasonable to me). At another time I saw a woman particularly upset by the same ticket booth guy, and I would guess she had mental health issues given her method of retort was to claim she was a psychiatrist who could lock him up.
Solution to avoid overpriced trains, their Nazi employees, and drunks and chavs playing trite over their mobile phones on the trains is to get a car0 -
Dont worry, everyone is treated like that!0

Funnily enough, I've never had a problem asking to keep my tickets, neither at Leeds nor at any other station. It's interesting how service various from one person to the next!0 -
I always pay by card and use the machine so I get 2 receipts (one credit card) + the ticket0

They're like that because they're still living in a world that thinks communism was a good thing, and that the world owes them a living. Read Bob Crow for an idea.0

I'm not surprised at reading this.
Omellette 451 - You don't use Leeds alot then?
The Ticket staff at Leeds CAN be OTT, But Martha is ok, The older Jamaican lady, You can have a laugh with her.:j
She helped me once, When I had no change, She said I could pay later - And I did.

I nearly punched a lad on the platform years ago, He was one of those 'JOBSWORTHS' who got all in a fuss about NOWT!!
He said he would call the 'BTP' British Transport Police if I didn't calm down, Ye right as if I was bothered.
I wasn't that angry, If he want's to see angry he should join up and see what angry is then?
I still remember that lad - what a 'pillcok'
It's like anything else, You get good and bad.
Leeds has more good thou.Thomson 757 Man0 -
You should have got his name and complained to the station manager. If you make a written complaint now, hopefully he will become the 1st person to get a P45 there in 2009!0

Yes, been explained to what a return ticket is after asking for single, and I did only want a single journey and no, I didn't want to come back... and the patronizing ticket collector wouldn't change my mind (I mean, who doesn't know the difference between single & return?)
People are expected to give 'respect' without receiving any themselves.0 -
A barrier supervisor (probably not their official job title!) trapped me between the gates when I was last in Leeds train station!! It really hurt!0
