I would stick with a regular as you will have a bathroom and shower room in simultaneous use. Out of the two brands you mention I prefer Vaillant, I'm guessing the Ecomax Pro 28E would be suitable, it has a stainless-steel heat exchanger, the Worcester doesn't.0 -
Hi SuperForestBoy,
Both of those makes are excellent, though I'm quite a big fan of Bosch who make the Worchester. You've obviously got quite a large house so you will have to go with a high output boiler, somebody else may be able to advise on this, personally I'd go for a combi boiler, new legislation requires that you fit one with a condenser which are far more efficient as they use the flue gasses to heat the water also. You must also however make sure it will work with your shower - I think power showers can sometimes cause problems, and you sometimes get fluctuations with heat/pressure, I have a combi boiler, but with an electric shower - the water is hot even quicker that way. Combi boilers are great and save money as you only heat the water as you require it. Anyhow that's my opinion - I'm not a plumber, just a keen DIYer!0 -

Yours is about the same as mine (14 rads) i have a Vaillant
which has been excellent. If i were buying today though i would consider an Alpha boiler which has i believe a 3 yr guarentee is lower cost than vaillant and is well thought of by the pro heating engineers here.0
